Introducing session booking
For every rider working with us, our priority is to ensure you make great fees through the flexible work you tell us you want.
A key part of making the best fees possible is always having the right number of riders on the road to match the number of orders available. This is incredibly important, especially during quieter periods.
We’ve been listening to riders in BRM, EAL, TOO and MVK and found that, during quieter times, we sometimes have too many riders on the road. This leads to time spent waiting between orders. We want to fix this so that when you work there are orders available to you.
So, from Monday 11 February these zones will become booking zones through the in-app self-service booking tool.
Booking zones allow you to choose whether to book sessions in advance or, where more riders are needed, go online the moment you want to start, just as you do now – giving you the freedom to fit the services you provide around your life.
When does this change happen?
Using self-service booking you’re still free to cancel any session you don’t want to attend and to log in and start working immediately whenever we need more riders on the road.
How do I get priority access?
Sessions will be available for all riders to book for the first time from 11:00 on Monday 4 February, booking sessions for 11-17 February.
You can book at 11:00 for the first two weeks – this is how we make sure you get priority over new riders that start working with us in the next few weeks.
From Monday 25 February sessions will be available to book from 17:00. Priority booking access at 11:00 and 15:00 will be available for some riders. You can gain priority booking access based on the following statistics:
- Attendance – percentage of booked sessions you’ve attended
- Super-peak participation – the number of sessions you’ve attended during the busiest periods (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday at 19:00-21:00)
- Avoid late cancellations – less than 24 hours before the start of a booking (this helps other riders to book the sessions you no longer want)
You can view your priority booking access and latest statistics in your app. How you choose to work between 11-24 February will provide the information for your first priority access on 25 February. We’ll also send you a notification every Sunday to tell you what time you can book on Mondays. You can find out more about statistics here.
